I'm trying to put a little more order into my life, and one way to do this is to face the fact that I can't be everywhere at once--WHILE, AT THE SAME TIME, DOING MY BEST TO COME AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE!!!
Therefore, I'm putting a link to a really neat journal here--as well as putting it elsewhere--and will be using it to keep you up with everything from when I have something new posted here to when I have something new posted elsewhere when I want to share an oldie but a goodie when I want to share something I've read here or somewhere else. . .ANYWAY, YOU GET THE PICTURE. . .
The first link will take you to a multi-part introduction of the journal--actually, just a series of entries that will tell you a lot more than that, so don't worry about being bored.
Anyway, give it a try, because you can always skip over anything that doesn't interest you. . .

When the brains behind this wonderful site didn't show up at the LA/Orange Meet & Greet after giving no other excuse than he was tired, it ticked a few people off.
However, I would like to say something in his defense:
I understand how he feels, because I've been there, done that--in fact, have been dealing with this for quite sometime.
Sometimes, people do something called "outrunning their headlights"--that is, having so many different things going on that it eventually becomes a little overwhelming.
When this happens, they might be planning on participating in one activity or another--only to find out that they're suddenly too tired to go with their original plans.
I believe that this is something that has happened to Nirav--and I can see why with all of the changes in the site, his position, etc.
Anyway, I have the feeling he could use some hugs, so I'm going to put up a hug place for him and hope that you'll join me in hugging him!
He's really a nice guy--and we have him to thank for initially starting this great neighborhood for us--so let's give him some hugs whenever we think about it!!!

I have another photo up for my profile pic--one when I was three months old, which I've captioned as BORN TO BABBLE.
In case you're wondering what happened to my adorable, pigtailed pic that has been there for so long (until now), this is the story:
Somebody has obviously hacked into my webpage at AOL.com which was serving as a parking lot for it.
Thankfully, most of my pics have been parked onto my computer and elsewhere, so it just seems to be this one that was affected.
As soon as I figure out how to make the image, I'm going to repost the first-grade pic here. This pic, after all, was taken when I was around the age that I received my first letter-of-rejection from an editor.
